The Collective : Light that honours history
In Sydney’s historic Rocks district, a 19th‑century wool store has entered a new chapter. Once home to The Argyle and a cornerstone of the city’s nightlife since 1997, the landmark has been meticulously transformed into The Collective—an ambitious dining destination by the team behind Rockpool Bar & Grill. The architecture remains a living record of the city’s colonial past; sandstone walls from 1881 and stately heritage pillars now frame a sophisticated, contemporary hospitality experience.
Spanning 1,800 square metres and five distinct venues, The Collective is conceived as a radiant centrepiece for the precinct. At its heart is The Dining Room, seating 225, where historic character and modern luxury sit in effortless balance. Plush booths offer intimacy, a cellar of more than 500 bottles promises discovery, and every original material—timber, stone, iron—retains its quiet authority.
DuraGreen’s brief was to illuminate this legacy without disturbing it: to preserve the building’s soul while refining mood, clarity and comfort. Working closely with the project architect, our Australian representative, Loukas, guided a careful process of prototyping and review. The solution—a suite of custom gold ARTFOCUS spotlights—was chosen for its warmth, precision and restraint. The tone harmonises with the patina of the timber pillars, reading less as a fixture and more as a considered accent. Custom iron rings secure each luminaire discreetly, allowing light to skim and reveal grain, edges and joinery, bringing out depth and texture without glare.
The site’s heritage status demanded a light touch and exacting coordination. Ordinarily, four surface‑mounted spotlights per pillar would mean four DALI drivers—unwieldy in both installation and maintenance given the number of pillars. DuraGreen proposed an elegant alternative: custom 24V LED ARTFOCUS heads powered from a single 24V constant‑voltage DALI driver per pillar. This reduced hardware, simplified wiring paths, and ensured future servicing could be carried out with minimal disruption—vital in a protected structure.
Time was critical: design sign‑off to installation in three weeks. Through tight sampling cycles, rapid customisation and coordinated logistics, DuraGreen met the deadline. The result is a measured, luminous atmosphere that enhances the dining experience while honouring the fabric of the building. Light reads as a gentle, invigorating presence—polishing the room’s natural richness, keeping colours true, and guiding attention to the craft of the interiors.
Owners, architects and contractors praised both the finish and the speed of delivery. Most importantly, guests notice what matters: a serene conversation between history and hospitality. Under a calm, finely judged play of light and shadow, The Collective feels both timeless and new—an elegant continuation of a Sydney icon’s story.
Congratulations to Co- Restaurant on being recognized by the Michelin Guide for two consecutive years—an honor that reflects the dedication and artistry at the core of its experience.
Co- Restaurant’s design philosophy centers on a seamless harmony between space and cuisine. The environment is purposefully understated, framing Chef Yang’s creations without distraction. Nature and human presence are held in delicate balance, inviting guests to savor signature dishes in an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort.
Lighting is pivotal to this refined ambiance. DuraGreen’s 48V track lights and in–out spotlights sculpt the mood and elevate the sense of luxury with precision. Their engineered illumination enriches the earthy tones of sand-colored walls and subtly reveals the textures of natural wood and stone. The fixtures never impose; they lend a quiet authority—accentuating materials with a serene, unobtrusive glow.
The versatility of DuraGreen’s 48V track system enables exacting control: each table and plated composition can be cleanly, elegantly highlighted. In–out spotlights add depth with layered light, warming the décor without stealing focus from the dining journey. Through careful calibration, the result is a “hidden” design—architecture and illumination working in concert to elevate both food and space.
Every detail speaks to comfort and natural harmony. Wood and stone meet tactility with grace, while the sand-toned palette grounds the room in calm. Thoughtfully orchestrated lighting completes the sensory experience, allowing guests to settle into the serenity of the setting and the sophistication of each dish.
Ultimately, the elegance of Co- Restaurant arises from a measured interplay of material, color, and—above all—light. DuraGreen’s advanced lighting solutions act as silent maestros, shaping not only how the space is seen, but how it is felt. Here, cuisine and environment are intertwined, achieving a poised equilibrium that leaves guests both nourished and deeply enriched.

Driven by the aim to create warmth and welcome, the lighting concept balances natural and artificial light. This careful calibration elevates visual comfort and reinforces a cohesive aesthetic throughout.
By uniting architectural elegance with innovative illumination, the flagship store delivers an elevated brand experience. The lighting not only accentuates product excellence but also cultivates an atmosphere of comfort and sophistication—an authentic expression of premium living.

Minotti Wuhan Flagship: Light that shapes a home from Meda to the Yangtze
From the street, the flagship reads like a bow entering new waters—soft, wave-like curves, transparent façades, and a measured rhythm of vertical mullions. Behind glass and linen, scenes surface and recede, inviting a slow reveal. The architectural mood is one of restrained abundance: rich textures, balanced volumes, and a choreography in which light conducts, connects, and clarifies.
For Minotti, every flagship is an extension of home. The brief was not replication, but translation—carrying the spirit of Meda to Wuhan with fidelity and nuance. Initiated in late 2019 and now open in Jianghan District’s Huafa Zhongcheng Commercial City, the 890 m², two-level showroom is accessible from the street on both floors, unfolding as a continuous domestic narrative of display, reception, and service.
Two gestures anchor the interior: a signature fireplace and a ribboning stair that threads the levels. Between them, a dialogue of material, colour, and light—both natural and artificial—turns the space into a stage rather than a protagonist: warm, memorable, and never overpowering.
This is where DuraGreen becomes the quiet author of atmosphere. Our Orbit track lights, deployed throughout, deliver precise beams and high colour rendering that keep materials honest and the mood refined. On the ground floor, tight, clean beams define edges without glare, laying soft gradients that model sofas and dining silhouettes while keeping circulation calm and legible. Timber warms without yellowing; leather retains depth; stone keeps its gravity. Light edits rather than shouts—revealing craftsmanship, pulling a seam or curve into focus, then easing back.
Along the façade, Orbit’s controlled optics balance storefront brightness with interior intimacy. From outside, the space reads as a sequence of half-revealed scenes; inside, luminance steps are finely tuned so the eye settles quickly and colours stay true from day to night. Minimal track presence preserves serene ceilings and continuous lines, allowing Minotti’s geometry to remain pure.
Upstairs, the stair becomes a gentle moment of theatre. Orbit accents skim the handrail and touch tread nosings with a slender brush of light, guiding without spectacle. At the fireplace, tighter beams deepen shadows and lend a quiet glow to stone and metal—a focal point that gathers rooms without dictating them. Across living, dining, and meeting zones, lighting adapts precisely: broader washes for conversation, crisper highlights for joinery and accessories, and delicate edge-lighting to separate planes and articulate the curvature of Connery, Freeman, Alexander, Daniels, and Torii.
High colour rendering safeguards the Minotti palette—cool neutrals, rich woods, bronzed metals—so fabrics remain nuanced and finishes read as intended. Photography benefits too: neutral, accurate light reduces post-production and aligns on-site experience with published imagery.
The result is holistic, seasonal, and seamless—indoors conversing with outdoors, day sliding into evening—always coherent with Minotti’s language. DuraGreen’s Orbit is the through-line: a discreet infrastructure of precision that supports the architecture, honours the furniture, and welcomes guests into a home fluent in Meda, at the heart of Wuhan.

The result is light that reveals textures, patterns, and finishes with exceptional fidelity, while creating a modern, luxurious ambience that invites exploration throughout the showroom.
In 1966, Otto Schüller built his first kitchen and set out a simple rule: a good product should look simple. That principle still guides Schüller today—and DuraGreen expresses it through light.
The showroom is calm and orderly, with clean lines and generous space. Here, light is part of the architecture. We began by studying the materials and how people move through the rooms: the grain of timber, the gloss of lacquer, the way visitors approach islands and displays. From this, we shaped a lighting scheme that supports the design rather than competing with it.
The ceiling remains quiet and uncluttered. Track lighting is set flush so it almost disappears, yet it guides attention gently—across a cabinet surface, along a handle, onto a worktop. Light is precise but never harsh. Shadows are soft, colours stay honest, and finishes are shown at their best: woods look warm, lacquers are clear and bright, stone keeps its depth.
Ambient light gives the space an even, comfortable base, making it easy to explore and to talk. At key moments, a focused highlight draws the eye to fine details—the join between planes, the quality of a corner, a change in texture—adding depth without disturbing the calm. The mood shifts smoothly from a clear, daytime brightness to a warmer, more intimate tone for evening, all while keeping the architecture crisp.
What visitors notice is not the fixtures but the feeling. The ceiling reads as one continuous surface. The hardware recedes so that the geometry of the room stays pure and the kitchens remain the centre of attention. Throughout, the colours are consistent and true to life; materials appear exactly as they should.

These refined, minimalist interiors amplify the works on display, welcoming art lovers with a blend of luxury and restraint.
For the new YellowKorner gallery, DuraGreen delivered a fully integrated lighting scheme centred on our VIVID ART LED technology—engineered to render colour with extraordinary fidelity and nuance. Every object tells a story—and lighting shapes how that story is felt. Advances in miniaturisation allow luminaires to recede visually, granting designers new freedom to pursue clarity and restraint. Our approach seeks to evoke optimism, freshness and creativity, ensuring the lighting becomes an invisible ally to the art.
DuraGreen’s lighting design begins with a considered study of surfaces, materials, furniture and artwork. We sculpt light into space—balancing contrast and softness—to create moments of quiet magic. Miniaturised luminaires unite technological innovation, functionality and formal purity, fusing visually with the architecture so that the art remains the hero.
Perched above the panorama of Erh Lake, Black Stone Hillside Hotel set a clear brief: deliver five-star lighting that feels warm, calm, and discreet—commercial-grade in performance, yet restrained in presence. Working in close collaboration with the project designer and our local distributor, DuraGreen created a lighting scheme that elevates luxury while preserving intimacy throughout the resort.
The design begins with quiet ceilings and clean sightlines, allowing light—not fixtures—to shape the experience. DuraGreen downlights provide a soft, glare-free foundation that settles the eye and supports relaxation in lobbies, lounges, corridors, and guest rooms. Layered above this base, our adjustable spotlights introduce gentle contrast, guiding attention to crafted textures and focal points—stone walls, timber details, artwork—without overpowering the architecture.
Color fidelity was essential. Using DuraGreen Nature White LEDs with near-perfect color rendering, materials read as they should: wood remains warm and nuanced, stone reveals depth and grain, textiles hold their richness, and art retains its intended tone. The result is a cohesive visual language from day to night, with lighting scenes that transition smoothly from open, welcoming daytime settings to more intimate evening moods.
The outcome is quietly luxurious: a resort illuminated with poise and precision. DuraGreen’s downlights set the serene foundation; our spotlights sculpt light and shade to bring out character and craft. Across the hotel, the atmosphere is one of effortless pleasure and well-being—exactly what a true five-star retreat should feel like.
